Falcon Hockey Maintains #19 Ranking In Latest USCHO/CSTV Poll

(BGSUFalcons.com) - For the third-straight week, the Bowling Green State University hockey team has earned a spot in the national top-20 as they remained 19th in the latest USCHO/CSTV Poll released on Monday afternoon (Dec. 17).
The Falcons, who currently sit at 8-6-0 overall and 5-5-0 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, also once again received a 19th-place ranking in the latest edition of InsideCollegeHockey.com's "Power Rankings", released Sunday evening by the online website.
BG currently sits tied for seventh in the CCHA with 10 league points as they've received votes in the national polls for six-straight weeks. Their highest ranking came two weeks ago (Dec. 3) when they garnered the 18th-spot in the USCHO/CSTV Poll after completing their third sweep of the season against Wayne State.
After a break of 20 days for finals and the holiday, the Falcons will return to action next Friday evening (Dec. 28) when they face 11th-ranked Northeastern in game one of the 2007 Badger Showdown, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The Falcons and Huskies will face-off at 5:07 p.m., which will be immediately followed by the host Badgers taking on Colgate at 8:07 p.m. The winners of the two games will play for the tournament championship at 8:07 p.m. on the 29th then with the consolation game taking place at 5:07 p.m.
