Hockey's Kevin Schmidt Featured On CCHA Website

(BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University junior hockey player, Kevin Schmidt, took time out of his busy schedule to share a story with Central Collegiate Hockey Association fans about his growing up in the game of hockey. This week he is featured in the "First Person Stories" section of CCHA.com as he shared a story about his grandfather running his hometown rink.
The Markham, Ontario native has tallied a career-high 14 points this season, helping BG to a 8-6-0 record and a ranking of 19th in tha lastest polls.
Schmidt and the Falcons will next take to the ice on Dec. 28th at 5:07 p.m. when they open up the 2007 Badger Showdown in Madison, Wisc. against 11th-ranked Northeastern. The tournament, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, will be held at the Kohl Center located on the UW campus as the host Badgers and Colgate will also be participating in the two-day holiday event (Dec. 28-29).
