Head Coach Denise Van De Walle and several members of the Falcon volleyball team traveled to Elmwood Elementary school on Thursday and visited Mrs. Stockwell's fourth grade class.
The volleyball team read to the students and then opened the floor to answer questions for the children. The Falcons plan to head back in a couple of weeks to visit a different classroom and interact with another group of children.
"It's fun for me to be back in the elementary classroom," said Van De Walle. "It brings back really great memories of my teaching days in Muncie. I loved teaching little kids."
"I'm always impressed with how easily my players adapt to new surroundings. They came in to school today and had a great time with these kids. It was really fun to listen to all the questions they were asked. They represent BGSU so well. We're looking forward to going back in a couple weeks to read and be interviewed again. We'll bring more players next time."
