BG Women's Golf Finishes 10th at MAC Preview

After shooting a 318 on the final day, the Bowling Green women's golf team finished 10th on Tuesday at the Brickyard Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. The Falcons were one of only two teams to either tie or better their score on the final day (318, 318, 636).
Leading the pack for the brown and orange was senior Jessica McCann. After finishing the first round at 2-over, McCann fired a 77 for a two day total of 151. Her score netted her a tie for sixth place at the tournament.
Behind McCann was sophomore Hannah Lambert and freshman Lauren Glew. Lambert bested her first round score of 85 by ten strokes, finishing the round at 3-over (160). Glew, who was competing this week as an individual competitor was able to trim two strokes off her first day total of 81 to tie with Lambert.
Senior Carley Hrusovsky carded an 83 in the final round of the tournament. Hrusovksy's finish set her in a tie for 43rd at the invitational.
Trailing Hrusovsky by three shots (166) was senior Amanda Bader. On the final day, Bader fired an 83 to finish in 51st. She was followed by freshman DeOnna Anderson who finished one stroke behind Bader for the tournament.
The Falcons have two weeks off until they head to University Park, PA for the Nittany Lion Invitational on Sept. 30. A week after the Nittany Lion Invitational, BGSU will compete in the Shootout at the Legends in Franklin, Ind.
