Falcons To Play Rival Toledo In MAC Tourney Opener

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference Offices have announced that the Bowling Green volleyball team will meet Toledo in the opening round of the MAC Tournament Tuesday night. As the No. 11 seed, the Falcons will play at No. 6 seed Toledo at 7 p.m.
Toledo beat Bowling Green in four hard-fought sets earlier this year 25-23, 24-26, 25-19, 25-22. In that contest, Shari Luther and Kaitlin Jackson had 13 kills each and Alex Zlabis set a then-career high with 24 digs.
Bowling Green ended in a three-way tie for ninth place in the final Mid-American Conference standings with Akron and Buffalo. However, based on the Falcons' 1-3 record against those teams, Bowling Green lost tiebreakers and finished as the No. 11 seed.

#11 Bowling Green at #6 Toledo
#10 Buffalo at #7 Kent State
#9 Akron at #8 Ball State
