BGSU Signee Paige Penrod Named AVCA All-American

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University signee Paige Penrod has been named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Under Armour Honorable Mention All-American for the 2009-10 season. Penrod, a 5-foot-9 outside hitter from Circleville, Ohio, will join the Falcons as a freshman in 2010.
In all, the AVCA honors 24 first-team members, 24 second-team members, and 52 honorable mention members for a complete list of 100 high school All-Americans. Penrod is one of three freshmen who have signed to begin their collegiate careers at Bowling Green in the fall of 2010. She joins a team that went 13-20 this year and advanced to the MAC Tournament quarterfinals.
