Kasey Fillmore, Breanne Guy and Danielle Wishart, members of the Bowling Green State University gymnastics team, will travel to Lexington, Ky., for the 2010 NCAA Central Regional Championship on Apr. 10, hosted by the University of Kentucky, starting at 6 p.m.
Fans can purchase tickets by contacting the UK ticket office at 1-800-928-CATS. Reserved seating is $6 while adult general admission is $5. Youth, senior citizen and UK student general admission is $2.
With three Falcons competing this weekend, it makes the most gymnasts BGSU has sent to a Regional since the 1982 squad also sent three: Jill Slomsky, Dawn Boyl and Mary Ann Kruppa.
Fillmore, a sophomore from Danielson, Conn., will be competing in the all-around. Her top performance of the season came at Illinois-Chicago, where she posted a score of 38.700. She has also added a 38.675 versus Central Michigan and a 38.450 at Western Michigan.
Guy, a senior from Bradenton, Fla., will be joining Fillmore in the all-around. This will be Guy's third straight trip to Regionals, finishing 16th in 2008 and 10th in 2009 in the all-around. Guy is fifth all-time in school history in the all-around with a score of 38.925, which she has posted twice this year versus Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan. She ranks fourth in school history on the vault (9.875) and ninth on bars (9.800).
Wishart, a freshman from Bethesda, Md., will be competing on vault, where she has already made a major name for herself. She has posted a 9.875 on two different occasion this season (versus Kent State and Illinois-Chicago), which is the fourth-highest mark in BGSU history on the event. She has added a 9.825 (vs. Northern Illinois) and a pair of 9.800's versus Eastern Michigan and at Western Michigan.
