BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The second former Bowling Green Falcon in nearly a week will be returning to northwest Ohio to play professional hockey. Today, the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) announced that goaltender Jimmy Spratt has agreed to terms with the club.

On Jan. 6 the Walleye announced the signing of another former Bowling Green Falcon, forward Josh Boyd to their squad. Boyd has played in two games since joining the team.
Before arriving on campus, Spratt was selected in the seventh round (213th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames. He played three years with the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League having a save percentage higher than 90 percent in each of his three years and collecting a 39-22-10 overall record.
Spratt returns to the Walleye after being signed by the team and playing in one game with Toledo in 2009-10. That year he also played with the Louisiana IceGators (SPHL) and the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL). He stood out with the Wranglers posting an 8-3-2 record, 2.92 GAA, saving 91.3 percent of shots taken against him and earning one shutout en route to helping the team to a playoff birth. He played in five games with the Rapid City Rush (CHL) before joining Toledo.
The Walleye play the Elmira Jackals tonight (Jan. 12, 7:05 p.m.) at the Huntington Center. They will then make a three-game road trip over the weekend before returning back to Toledo to play Elmira twice and Cincinnati, Jan. 21-23. The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings.
