Second Former Falcon to Suit Up With Walleye

Josh Boyd joins former teammate Kyle Page as members of the Toledo Walleye after signing with the team today.
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- After four years suiting up for the Bowling Green State University hockey team and intense offseason conditioning, former Falcon and recent BGSU graduate Josh Boyd has officially signed with the Toledo Walleye of the East Coast Hockey League, according the team.
Prior to arriving at Bowling Green, Boyd played his junior hockey with the Portage Terriers (MJHL). In 41 games with the Terriers he scored eight goals, 24 assists and 32 points while serving 14 penalty minutes.
Boyd is now the second former Bowling Green Falcons to sign a professional contract with the Toledo Walleye. After the conclusion of his collegiate career, former Falcon defenseman Kyle Page also signed with the team and was resigned before the 2010-11 season began.
Boyd is expected to dress and play in the Walleye's home game against the Reading Royals on Friday, January 7. The puck will drop inside the Huntington Center at 7:00 p.m. ET.
