BGSU Volleyball Takes Part In Adopt-A-Team Program

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team is taking part in an Adopt-A-Team program, in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference, to raise interest in the MAC Tournament to be held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio Nov. 18-20.
Bowling Green is teamed up with Mrs. Ball's fifth grade class at Cork Elementary in Geneva, Ohio and the groups have been sending cards back-and-forth to each other and getting to know each other.
The intent of the program is to create a community base for MAC schools traveling to SPIRE for the MAC Tournament, to grow interest in the sport of volleyball and MAC volleyball, to create relationships between the student-athletes and students, to allow the students a new avenue for learning and communicating, and to grow attendance at the MAC Tournament.
The Bowling Green volleyball team, if it advances to the MAC Tournament, will get the opportunity to meet the class on Thursday, Nov. 17 in Geneva. The class will then have the opportunity to watch and follow the Falcons during the tournament.
