Ice Hockey Holds Annual Face-Off Reception

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University ice hockey team held its sixth annual Falcon Hockey Face-Off Reception Sunday evening, immediately following the Falcons' 9-1 win against OIT.
The reception gave Falcon Club members, season ticket holders, alumni and fans a chance to mingle and talk about BGSU hockey. The gathering, held at the BGSU Ice Arena, started with the announcement of coach Bergeron's contract extension to the Falcon faithful. Bergeron addressed the crowd, before allowing newcomers Ben Murphy, Marc Cooper, Brent Tate, Ralfs Freibergs, Tommy Burke, Jose Delgadillo, Dajon Mingo and Derek Hills to lead the room in the singing of Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba.
Bowling Green is back in action Oct. 12, in the first home series of the year against Frozen Four participant Union College.
