Volleyball Team Volunteers At BG Community Center
March 04, 2012 | Volleyball
Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team hosted a free skills clinic at the Bowling Green Community Center Feb. 21 and 28, teaching local youth volleyball players the essential skills of the game.
The clinic took place from 6:30-8:30 pm for fourth through sixth graders who had registered for the youth volleyball league at the BG Community Center. Each night was split into two one-hour sessions, the first being for 9-10 year-olds and the second being for 11-12 year-olds.
"Giving back to the Bowling Green community and serving as role models to young girls is a part of our team values," first-year head coach Danijela Tomic commented. "The skills clinic was a perfect opportunity to do both and our student-athletes really enjoyed interacting and helping all the girls who came to improve their volleyball skills. I hope that we made a few new Falcon volleyball fans who will come to see us play next fall!"
