BGSU Performance List
Live Stats
The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team will compete with fellow Mid-American Conference member Kent State University on Sunday, March 12, in Kent Ohio. The dual meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
BGSU has run into some tough luck over the past month. Despite averaging 193.500 in its last four meets the Falcons have dropped each meet. The Falcons' opponents have averaged 194.775 over that same span.
The tough luck showed this past weekend as the Falcons dropped a heart-breaker to Ball State, 194.025-193.900. It was BGSU's second-best score of the entire season, but the Cardinals had their best meet of the year (their previous-high was 193.425), a trend that has been happening on a regular basis to the Orange and Brown.
Two weeks ago at Missouri, the No. 17 Tigers scored a 196.250, their second-best mark of the season. Prior to that Pittsburgh scored its second-highest score of the season (194.050) and Northern Illinois scored a 194.775, their highest-score up to that point.
Will Kent State do the same this week? The Flashes are coming off a 196.925-195.775 loss at Ohio State. In the loss sophomore Marie Case recorded a 39.250 in the all-around, earning this week's MAC Gymnast of the Week honor. Kent State enters Sunday's contest at 4-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
