COMPLETE RESULTS
The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team fell to Kent State 196.400-193.525 on Sunday afternoon. The Mid-American Conference meet was held in Kent, Ohio inside the M.A.C. Center.
Freshman Jamilah Ali led the Falcons in the three events she competed in, scoring at least a 9.800 and finishing in the top-five in all three of her routines.
BGSU, who was once again without one of their top gymnasts, Dawn Christman, got off to a rough start, scoring 47.950 on the uneven bars. Monica Eaton led the way with a 9.750 and freshman Gina Locigno scored 9.700 to finish fifth and seventh in the meet.
The Falcons bounced back with a 48.475 on vault, helped by Ali and Wishart's 9.800s. The duo finished in a tie for fourth.
BGSU, who leads the conference in floor scoring, continued to show why, finishing with a 48.750 as a team. Ali was fifth with a 9.825, followed by Megan Harrington and Wishart, both scoring 9.750's to tie for seventh.
In rotation four the Falcons wrapped up the meet, scoring a season-best 48.350 on beam. Ali was third (9.800) and Locigno was seventh (9.700).
BGSU will finish the regular season on March 17, as they play host to Eastern Michigan. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. inside Anderson Arena and is free to the public.
