Lancaster, Nocella Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Patrick Lancaster and gymnast Alyssa Nocella.
Male Athlete of the Week
Patrick Lancaster, a junior from Woodhaven, Mich., hit .429 (6-of-14) on the weekend and improved his team-leading batting average to .325. In Friday's game, Lancaster went 3-for-5, recording an RBI, run scored, and double. With Lancaster on base six times over the course of the weekend, he now leads the team in on-base percentage.
Female Athlete of the Week
Alyssa Nocella, a freshman from Gilbertsville, Pa., won the MAC balance beam title, scoring a career-high 9.85 to finish first out of 42 gymnasts. Her beam score was the second-highest of any Falcon gymnast this year, helping her become the team's first MAC beam champion since 1999. Following her win, Nocella was named to the All-Tournament Team.
