Countdown To First Serve: 18 Days

As volleyball season quickly approaches, BGSUFalcons.com will spend the next several days counting down to first serve of the 2013 season. Each day, one of the 18 players on the 2013 roster will be introduced to Falcon fans, starting with today. Today's student-athlete is familiar to many Falcon fans, as she joins the volleyball team following four seasons on the women's basketball team. Allison Papenfuss, who will wear #20, joins the volleyball team for one season as she works towards her graduate degree. Papenfuss helped the women's basketball team to an astonishing 103-30 record during her four seasons. Papenfuss has had much success on the volleyball court, as well, as she was an all-state and all-league player her senior season. She recorded over 1,000 career kills at Anthony Wayne High School. Getting To Know Allison Papenfuss
Fans have numerous opportunities to see the 2013 Falcons play in August, beginning on August 24 with the Orange and White scrimmage. That game will be played inside Stroh Center at 12:00 p.m. The following weekend, the Falcons will host the Hampton Inn Invitational. With perhaps the strongest field in the tournament's history, the Orange and Brown will begin a challenging non-conference slate. Season tickets for the 2013 season begin as low as $48 (12 home matches). Season ticket information can be found by clicking HERE. The Hampton Inn Invitational will feature Bowling Green, Creighton, Marquette, and BYU. The tournament will feature five games over two days, and the schedule can be found below:
August 30
4:30 PM - Creighton vs. BYU
7:00 PM - Bowling Green vs. Marquette
August 31
10:00 AM - Bowling Green vs. Creighton
12:30 PM - BYU vs. Marquette
