Fullenkamp Named Second Team Academic All-District

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University senior setter Erica Fullenkamp has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Second Team, as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Six student-athletes were named to the district 5 first team and Fullenkamp was one of six second team members. Eastern Michigan's Jill Briner, Miami's Meg Riley, Illinois' Anna Dorn, Ohio's Kelly Lamberti, Northern Illinois' Mackenzie Roddy and Indiana State's Bree Spangler were voted onto the first team. Fullenkamp joined Ohio's Abby Gilleland, Illinois' Liz McMahon, DePaul's Saige Gallop, Oakland's Amanda Baker and Ball State's Hayley Benson on the second team.
Fullenkamp has a 4.0 grade point average in education and has started all 24 matches for the Falcons this year, playing in all 90 sets. She is averaging 9.17 assists per set and is second on the team with 2.10 digs per set. Fullenkamp also has a team-high 22 aces and is one of five Falcons with at least 30 blocks on the year.
Fullenkamp has excelled in the most important matches, ranking fifth in the conference with 9.93 assists per set in league contests. She is also seventh in aces at 0.30 per set. She has a season-high 54 assists in a single match and had 17 digs against Western Michigan, tying her career-best.
Earlier today, Fullenkamp earned Mid-American Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week honors for leading the Falcons to a 2-0 weekend and vaulting the team back into contention for a MAC Tournament berth.
