Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will hold its annual Orange and White Scrimmage Saturday at noon at the Stroh Center. The Falcons will divide into two teams and will play three sets to determine a winner. Admission is free to Saturday's scrimmage.
BGSU returns three starters and five letter winners from a team that finished second in the Mid-American Conference East Division with a 10-6 league record a year ago. Third year head coach Danijela Tomic has a squad that includes two seniors and 11 freshmen and sophomores. Outside hitter Jelena Sunjic earned MAC All-Freshman honors a year ago after averaging 2.79 kills per set. Senior setter Erica Fullenkamp will direct the offense on the court and senior middle Kelsey Bates returns after a breakout season in 2013 in which she averaged 1.45 kills and 0.82 blocks per set.
Following the match, BGSU will hold a "First Serve" reception in the Stroh Center at 2 pm. To find out more information or to RSVP for the meet and greet, please CLICK HERE.
