Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State History ice hockey team made history now by playing in its first-ever outdoor ice hockey game at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. The Falcons, who entered the game ranked 13th in the nation, skated to a 2-2 draw with then-19th ranked Robert Morris on a rink that stretched across the infield of Fifth Third Field, which was hosted by the Toledo Walleye. The Falcons' Matt Pohlkamp and Adam Berkle lit-the-lamp for the Orange in Brown, helping BGSU improve to 11-3-3 overall for the season at that time. BGSU, who now is unbeaten for nine games, will enter the weekend ranked 7th and will trek to Houghton, Michigan to take on the Huskies of No. 11 Michigan Tech in a WCHA weekend set.
