WHAT THE COACH IS SAYING
Head Coach Petra Martin: "The last meet is always a little bittersweet for the seniors. It's exciting, but it's also the last time for the seniors to be at home racing with the team. We will be looking forward to recognizing them and spending some special time on them. As far as Akron goes, they are defending MAC Champions, but whatever happens on the day of the meet is what will happen. We've got to stay focused on the moment and the now, not what happened last year and not what will happen next year. So that's how we're going into the meet and we'll see what happens."
UNBEATEN STREAK CONTINUES
The Falcons have won 12 consecutive dual meets dating back to last season, and sit undefeated at 7-0 this season in dual meets. BGSU has now exceeded its dual meet win total from a year ago with the four victories at Cooper Pool this past weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
Bowling Green defeated Mid-American Conference rival Toledo, 185-115 and Marshall, 171-129 Jan. 17 at Cooper Pool. The team finished with nine event wins, including a sweep in the 100 backstroke and a 1-2 finish in the 50 freestyle. Estela Davis led the team in individual victories, with three total. Her first came in the 100 backstroke and her last two were the 200 backstroke and 200 IM. In fact, the sophomore's nearest competitor in the 200 backstroke was nearly four seconds behind her.
GRIFFIN DOMINATES THE FREE
It hasn't taken long for Victoria Griffin to make her mark in the Mid-American Conference. The sophomore earned MAC Swimmer of the Week honors four times last season and captured her fifth and sixth awards this season, most recently for her performances in the team's back-to-back meets Jan. 16-17. Griffin still remains undefeated in the 50 freestyle this season.

Freshman Franziska Wohlert was in uniform for the first time this past weekend, competing in the first meets of her collegiate career. Jan. 16 against Michigan State and Marshall, she won her first two events, the 100 and 200 backstroke, where she swam a 56.53 and 2:00.69, respectively.
