Off The Court: Nicole Slimko

Throughout the spring, BGSUFalcons.com will help you to get to know the student-athletes on the BGSU Volleyball team better. After graduating just two seniors from the 2014 Falcons and having none in 2015, the team has a strong foundation for success in the near future. This week's featured player is sophomore-to-be Nicole Slimko. Slimko had an impact freshman campaign with 340 kills, the third-most for a rookie since 1986. She posted 31 kills in a win over Wright State, the most kills for a Falcon in a match in almost 15 years. She was the only freshman to rank among the top 10 in the conference in kills.

I really liked the feeling I got when I came for my visit and I liked the girls on the team and the coaches, we also have incredible facilities that I love playing in.

The best advice about being a BGSU volleyball player that I received from a teammate and/or coach thus far is….
Do not stress about what you can't control, it will just make your life harder when it doesn't need to be like that.

My dream job is …
Is to be a neurosurgeon and hopefully later on in life I can travel the world and help people with my job. I think it would be really cool.

If I could have any superpower, I would choose …
to be able to run really fast (like the flash)
