Bowling Green, Ohio was ranked the top city in Ohio for hockey and ranked No. 18 nationally among all cities that boast an NHL or NCAA Division I hockey team.

Wallethub.com ranked the 74 cities in the United States that host an NHL or NCAA Division I college hockey program in a number of areas, including performance of the team, ticket prices, accessibility to arenas and friendliness/engagement of fans. Each area was weighted differently with some aspects carrying a three-year average.

Bowling Green ranked 27th in team performance and 20th in cost and fan engagement. Among cities in Ohio, Oxford ranked 25th overall (25th in team performance and 26th in cost and fan engagement) and Columbus was 36th (17th in team performance and 41st in cost and fan engagement). Bowling Green was one of only 19 cities to rank in the top half in both team performance and cost/fan engagement metrics.
