Nine Falcons Complete First 18 Holes of Dayton Fall Invitational

First Round Results
KETTERING, Ohio – After the first day of competition, the Bowling Green women's golf team is seventh in the team standings at the Dayton Fall Invitational. The Falcons carded a first round team score of 320, +40, while freshman Brooke Nolte is tied for ninth overall with an 18-hole score of 76, +6.
"Too many big numbers plagued us today as a team," Bowling Green women's golf head coach Stephanie Young said. "We will continue to keep working hard and aim to execute better tomorrow."
Nolte tops the Falcons leaderboard through the first round at the Dayton Fall Invitational, in which all nine members of the Bowling Green women's golf program are competing. Nolte's round of 76 is the best opening round score she has shot in her collegiate career.
Sophomore Erin Fahey is currently tied for 28th overall individually with her single round mark of 79, +9, while two Falcons are currently tied with each other for 37th-place. Freshman Jessica Madry and senior Mikayla Baer each shot a round of 80, +10 on Monday afternoon while participating as individuals for the Bowling Green squad.
Senior Fran Rodriguez marked an 18-hole score of 82, +12 in the first round to sit in a tie for 49th overall, while the two remaining team competitors for the Falcons are tied for 53rd overall. Sophomore Julia Durkin carded an 83, +13 in her first event of the fall season, while sophomore Sarah Kern tallied the same mark in the first round, her second lowest round of the season.
The two remaining individual competitors for the Falcons includes juniors Madelynn Swank and Miranda Dubler. In Swank's first time participating as an individual this fall, she shot a round of 86, +16 to sit in a tie for 71st-place, while Dubler carded an 18-hole score of 87, +17 in a tie for 73rd overall in her first event of the year.
After the first round, Oakland and Findlay are currently tied for first in the 14-team field with scores of 299, +19. The Falcons will complete the final 18 holes of competition tomorrow with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
