BGSU Volleyball to Take a European Tour this May

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University volleyball head coach Danijela Tomic is excited to announce that her program will travel as a team to Europe this spring in May 2016.

"We have an amazing opportunity to take a trip to Europe as a team this spring where we will play against some outstanding competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Italy," commented Coach Tomic. "This trip will also have an educational component, as our players, many of which have never traveled to Europe, will be able to discover historic and cultural sights that this trip will provide."

The Falcons will spend a total of 10 days in May going throughout Europe, where the players will experience Italy, Croatia, and Bosnia, many for the first time. BGSU will have the unique chance to play once in Bosnia, three times in Croatia, and twice in Italy.

"The opportunity to play NCAA Division I Volleyball at a great University means the world to me. I've been challenged in ways I never could've imagined and built relationships here that will last me a lifetime," stated junior Delaney Arkeilpane. "So when Coach Tomic mentioned that she wanted to plan a trip for our team to go overseas and play in Europe I couldn't have been more thrilled. We have the chance to pursue our passion of playing volleyball while getting to face new competition and at the same time experience different cultures. To our team this is the ultimate gift!"
