Bowling Green, Ohio – With just two weeks until the Mid-American Conference Championships, the Bowling Green State University track and field team will split squads this weekend. The throws group will compete at the Ashland Alumni Open, while the rest of the team will head to the Gina Relays, hosted by Hillsdale.
Â
BGSU had another strong weekend at the Jesse Owens Track and Field Classic this past weekend, led by the effort of Aliyah Gustafson in the shot put. Gustafson threw a MAC-best 51-feet-11, a distance which ranks second in school history.
Â
A trio of Falcons recorded big marks in the triple jump, with Jade Nolan earning a MAC automatic qualifying bid. Her leap of 39-0.25 ranks third in school history and Tiera Parker, who already ranks second, was just behind at 38-11.75. Kyla Paster climbed to fourth in program history with a jump of 38-7.
