Toledo, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Track and Field team heads into the final weekend of the regular season with an opportunity to compete at the Toledo Invitational Thursday and Friday. The Falcons will run on the same track that will play host to the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships next week.
Â
BGSU had a largely successful weekend April 28-30 with the squad split between the Gina Relays, hosted by Hillsdale, and the Ashland Alumni Open, earning three MAC automatic qualifying bids and improving marks in numerous categories.
Â
This weekend, Bowling Green is targeting specific individuals and events in preparation for the MAC Championships and in attempting to improve NCAA Regional qualification chances.
Â
"We have a mix of some off events combined with a few primary events," BGSU Head Coach Lou Snelling said. "We had a lot of positives last weekend, but we left a little bit out there. We didn't quite get everything we wanted to."
Â
Following the upcoming weekend, the Falcons will return to Toledo for the Mid-American Conference Championships May 12-14.
