Sunjic Named To Preseason All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Jelena Sunjic, a member of the Bowling Green State University volleyball team, was named to the conference's Preseason All-MAC team, the league office announced Monday (Aug. 22) morning.
Add this to the list of accolades for the soon-to-be senior. Sunjic has been honored by the conference in each year of her career. She was named to the MAC's All-Freshmen Team in 2013, before being named First Team All-MAC in 2014, and Honorable Mention All-MAC last season.
Sunjic led BGSU in kills last season with 398, and enters this season with a career total of 865. Her 454.0 points also led the squad in 2015, and she is also nearing the 1,000-point milestone as she currently sits with 986.5 points.
Bowling Green opens the season this week by hosting the Hampton Inn Invitational over Aug. 26-27. Over the two-day invitational, the Falcons will battle against VCU, Oakland and Louisville.
The Falcons will be playing a total of 15 home matches inside the Stroh Center this season, which is the most home matches for the program since 2005. The Orange and Brown open up conference play with a home match against Miami University on Sept. 22.
