Volleyball: Five Things About Jessi Holly

Bowling Green, Ohio – Freshman Jessi Holly began at Bowling Green in January after completing her high school course work at Upper Sandusky High School. A 6-foot-2 outside hitter, Holly was tabbed the Northern 10 Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a senior.
Holly was a 2015 All-Ohio First Team honoree and was named to the 2016 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Phenom List. A three-time first team District 6 selection and a two-time Northern 10 All-Conference pick, she finished her career with 1,383 kills, 897 digs and 175 service aces. Her team had a combined record of 43-6 in her finial two seasons, including 34-0 in conference play.
Here are five things you might not know about Jessi Holly:
The Falcons will have a total of 15 home matches in 2016, the most that BGSU has had in a single season since 2005. BGSU will open up the year with back-to-back weekend home tournaments in the Hampton Inn Invitational on Aug. 26-27 and the BGSU Invitational on Sept. 2-3.

- My mom was my volleyball coach from fourth grade to 12th grade.
- When I was three years old, I got bit by a dog and had to get 14 stitches under my eye.
- I am majoring in gerontology because I love working with the elderly.
- I have an older sister, Jenna, who goes to Akron and a younger brother, Jason, who is a sophomore in high school and is 6-foot-5.
- After I graduate from college, I want to live by the beach in North Carolina.
