BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University men's cross country team will travel to South Bend, Ind. to compete in the 2016 Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame University on Friday, Sept. 30. The Falcons will be one of 24 teams to compete in the Gold Division Race which begins at 5:00 p.m. and lasts for five miles.
"This is a good mid-season test for us to go to a meet this competitive with regionally ranked teams," said assistant men's cross country coach Charles Wentz. "I want to see how we match up with regional foes. We will learn a lot about our future as a team moving forward and expect this race to simulate a championship atmosphere for our team."
Among the teams racing against Bowling Green are three teams ranked in this week's Great Lakes Regional poll: IUPUI (7th), Oakland (10th) and Indiana State (13th).
