January 25, 2018 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team will compete in its first dual in two months when they travel at Athens, Ohio on Saturday (Jan. 27) for a meet against Ohio University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. ET, and will be the second dual in less than 24 hours for the Bobcats. For BGSU, this will be the first official competition for Falcon swimmers since the team placed third of nine teams at the 2017 Zippy Invitational (Dec. 1-3, 2017), while the diving team has since competed at the Buffalo Diving Invitational (Jan. 12-13). BGSUÂ is 3-3 in dual meets during the 2017-18 season and 0-2 against Mid-American Conference competition. Ohio is currently 2-2 in dual meets and 1-2 against MAC foes.
COACH SAYS...
BGSUÂ Swimming and Diving head coach Matt Ense said, "Ohio University will be a very tough meet for us as we head into the final stretch of the dual meet season. We are four weeks away from the conference championships, so we are fine tuning what we need to so we are our best when we are back in Athens for the MAC Championships. This will be our first time racing since the beginning of December so it will be great for the team to be back in the pool in a competitive environment."
