Falcon Volleyball Accept Invitation To Compete In 2018 NIVC

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Do not write off the Bowling Green State University volleyball program just yet. The Orange and Brown received and accepted an invitation to compete in the 2018 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC). The Falcons were selected as the automatic qualifiers from the Mid-American Conference for finishing the regular season in the number one spot in the MAC standings
This will be the Falcons' fourth time in program history they take part in the NIVC. The Falcons were runner-ups in 1992, finished third in 1993, and made a first round appearance in 2017.
The Falcons are among seven automatic qualifying programs that have committed to this year's edition of the NIVC. Committed to the 2018 invitational are Alabama A&M (23-15, SWAC), Appalachian State (22-8, Sun Belt), Bowling Green (19-11, MAC), Central Arkansas (26-6, Southland), Fresno State (21-9, Mountain West), Radford (21-6, Big South), and Tulane (24-8, American).
Bowling Green's first round opponent will be revealed when the NIVC bracket is finalized and announced on Sunday, Nov. 25.

Semifinals – Dec. 7-9
Championship – Tuesday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m. ET
