Baseball Continues Spring Trip This Weekend With Four-Game Slate

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Bowling Green State University baseball program continues its spring trip with four games this weekend in the state of North Carolina. The Falcons enter play this weekend with a 2-6 record. Bowling Green began its trip with a Wednesday contest at Eastern Kentucky.

The Falcons open the weekend with a 3 p.m. first pitch at North Carolina State on Friday. Bowling Green will then travel to Buies Creek, North Carolina to face Canisius in a Saturday doubleheader, before taking on Campbell on Sunday.
Offensively, four Falcons are hitting over .300. Randy Righter leads the team with 10 hits, and is hitting .313 on the young campaign. Brad Croy has five hits and is hitting a team-best .357. Jeff Scott (.310) leads BGSU with eight RBI, while Neil Lambert is hitting .300. Lambert has a team-high four doubles.

Brown has turned in a pair of stellar starts. Through 11.0 innings, the southpaw has only yielded one earned run. He's struck out seven batters, while only walking one. Croy, playing both ways, has not allowed a single earned run over 8.0 innings. He leads the team with 11 strikeouts.
