Four different players score; defense keeps clean sheet
The Falcons, now 8-5-1 on the year, scored twice in each half and outshot the Mastodons, 28-5, in the win. Â
Junior Achille Robin headed home Sullivan's corner kick to double the lead with just under three minutes left in the opening half. Freshman Spencer Straka, in his BGSU debut, scored his first collegiate goal, with Sullivan and fellow junior Zach Buescher picking up assists on the play.

The Falcons scored four goals for the second-straight home match. Straka led all players with five shot attempts, while no fewer than five other Falcons had at least three shots on the night.

FIRST-HALF HIGHLIGHTS
• 22' | Freshman Nathan Masters took the ball to the end line and played a left-side cross to junior Vinny Worner, but Worner's shot from the center of the box sailed high.
• 25' | Fellow junior Achille Robin found himself open and fired a shot from about 40 yards out, but it went straight toward PFW 'keeper Tor Erik Larsen.
• 28' | GOAL | Senior Charlie Maciejewski threaded a pass through multiple defenders in the box, finding a wide-open Kale Nichols. The sophomore took a touch to settle the ball, then quickly fired a shot from just outside the six-yard box on the right side, slotting it past Larsen and into the far side of the net.
• 33' | On a counterattack, some BG give-and-go action resulted in a Vinny Worner shot that went over the goal.
• 37' | Freshman Spencer Straka, who had made his collegiate debut roughly one minute earlier, immediately made his presence felt. Straka hit a low cross to sophomore Matt Walters near the top of the 18-yard box. Walters quickly hit a shot, but it was blocked.
• 42' | Junior Chris Sullivan found Straka with a pass, and Straka and Walters each hit shots that were blocked by PFW defenders. The Walters effort was deflected over the end line for a corner kick.
• 43' | GOAL | Off of that Sullivan corner, Robin ran onto the ball, lunged forward and headed it into the near side of the net.

SECOND-HALF HIGHLIGHTSÂ
• 48' | Junior Zach Buescher played a ball forward to Maciejewski. The senior, streaking into the right side of the box, reached the ball near the end line and hit a hard shot. He put that shot on frame, but Larsen was able to make the save.
• 54' | GOAL | After a foul on the Mastodons just outside the penalty area, Sullivan took the ensuing free kick. The junior's hard, curving shot found the far-side netting, giving the Brown and Orange a three-goal lead.
• 62' | Off of a right-side cross, Straka headed a ball just wide.
• 65' | Arguably the visitors' best chance of the match came when Mathias Mikalsen hit a hard shot from the left side of the box. Senior goalkeeper Anthony Mwembia was able to make a point-blank save on the play.
• 65' | GOAL | Less than 35 seconds after that save, the Falcons scored at the other end of the field. Buescher played a nifty through ball to Sullivan. Sullivan took a few touches as he neared the penalty area, drawing several defenders to him. The junior then slid a pass to his left, into the path of the onrushing Straka. The freshman made no mistake, hitting a shot that resulted in his first career goal as a Falcon.
• 69' | Masters fired a shot off of a corner kick, but it sailed high.ell over the goal off of a BG corner kick.Â
• 73' | Sullivan received a pass from Robin and hit a scorcher of a shot. Larsen, however, made a great leaping save, tipping the ball over the crossbar.
• 89' | As the clock ticked down toward the one-minute mark, the visitors made one last foray into the BG end. A Purdue Fort Wayne player laid the ball into the path of Alex Frank, who blasted a shot from approximately 10 yards out. But, that effort sailed over the bar for the last shot of the match.
