>>LAST TIME OUT
- The Bowling Green Falcons completed a sweep of the Seawolves of Alaska Anchorage this past weekend (Nov. 15-16). On Friday (Nov. 15) night BGSU topped UAA by a final score of three to one. The Falcons out shot the Seawolves 37 to 16 in the contest. The Orange and Brown got off to a fast start tallying two goals before the end of the first period. Alec Rauhauser closed his gap to 100 points with a goal before Cameron Wright added a tally of his own. Connor Ford extended the lead for BGSU in the second period. UAA recorded a goal early in the third period to net the final score.
- Bowling Green then swept Alaska Anchorage on Saturday (Nov. 16) night winning the second game by a final score of three to zero. Eric Dop earned his first shutout of the season making 29 saves in the process. BGSU took the lead late in the first period as Alex Barber tallied a power play goal. The Falcons held strong during a good second period response from UAA before extending their lead in the third period. Cameron Wright recorded his second goal in as many games, and Taylor Schneider added a power play goal. This was Bowling Green's first sweep of a WCHA opponent on the 2019-20 campaign.
>>DOP DON'T STOP
- Eric Dop was awarded Goaltender of the Week by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (Nov. 18). This for his efforts in Bowling Green's sweep at Alaska Anchorage (Nov. 15-16).
- The junior from Lewis Center, Ohio turned away 44 of 45 shots on goal, posted a GAA of 0.50 and a save percentage of .978. On Saturday (Nov. 16) he recorded his first shutout of the 2019-20 season making all 29 saves. This was his fourth career shutout for the Orange and Brown, and his third in the state of Alaska as Eric Dop shutout both UAA and Alaska Fairbanks on the road last year.
- This was Eric Dop's third career Goaltender of the Week honor, his second of the season and his seventh career weekly award. He was honored as the Rookie of the Week four times in 2017-18.
 >>RAUHAUSER JUST ONE POINT AWAY FROM HISTORY
- Senior captain Alec Rauhauser tallied two points in BGSU's series sweep of Alaska Anchorage, tallying Bowling Green's first goal on Friday (Nov. 15) night and an assist on Saturday (Nov. 16) night. He is just one point away from reaching 100 in his career with the Orange and Brown. If he crosses the century mark he will be the 72nd player in Bowling Green Falcon Hockey program history to do so, and the first since Mitch McLain during the 2017-18 season. It is believed that he would also be the first defenseman to reach 100 points since Kelly Perrault who played from 1993-97.Â
- Alec Rauhauser's play early this season earned him WCHA Defenseman of the Month honors for October. He was one of the scoring leaders for Bowling Green in October with seven points on two goals and five assists. Rauhauser tallied three points in BGSU's win at Miami on Oct. 6 and scored a point in each of the Falcons' games against RIT (Oct. 11), Western Michigan (Oct. 18-19) and Michigan Tech (Oct. 25). His seven points were the most among defensemen in the WCHA for the month, and tied for sixth among all scorers. He also recorded seven blocks on the month. As of now he also leads the Falcons in plus/minus. This was Alec Rauhauser's fifth career Defenseman of the Month honor. He is the first WCHA monthly award winner for the Orange and Brown of the 2019-20 campaign.
