Sweep In San Diego; Tennis Tops Principia College 7-0

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program captured another sweep on the season, beating Principia College by a score of 7-0. The sweep marks the Falcons' fourth of the season, and second consecutive. With four under their belt, the team now has the most sweeps since the 2011-12 season. Bowling Green's 7-0 victories have come against Bellarmine University, Indiana Tech, Dayton and now Principia. If the Orange and Brown can notch one more sweep this season it would tie the program record with five sweeps in a single season. This feat has been accomplished five times in program history with the most recent occasion being in the 2008-09 season. The win moves BGSU's record to 7-5 on the season.

Statistical Standouts
- The Falcons were able to achieve six of their seven points via shutouts with all doubles ending 8-0 and five singles matches being decided in straight shutout sets.
- With the doubles win, Comella and Tavpash have now won four straight at No. 1 doubles with their last lost happening over a month ago on February 16. For Comella, the win puts her at No. 6 all-time in program history for doubles wins with 74. As for Tavpash, she moves up to a tie for No. 25 all-time with 54 wins.
- Radeva picked up her second win at No. 1 singles on the season, moving her record to 2-0 when playing in that slot. The other win came against Indiana Tech, winning the sets 6-1, 6-4. The win is also Radeva's 58th singles win of her career, putting her at No. 24 all-time in the category.
- With a win in singles, Comella moves up to No. 16 all-time in singles wins for the Falcons with 69 victories.
- Capturing two wins on the day, Comella is now tied for No. 10 all-time in combined wins.
