Falcon Hockey Inks Four To National Letters Of Intent

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The No. 18 Bowling Green State University hockey program added four new commits during the national signing period. With the four new names, the list of Falcons signed on for future rosters grows to eight. Currently, the Orange and Brown hold a 13-11-2 record, including being 8-8-2-2 in WCHA play.

Next Home Game: The Falcons will return to the ice at Slater Family Ice Arena on Feb. 7 to begin a weekend series against Alaska Anchorage. Both games are set for 7:07 p.m. puck drops and will be the second series between the teams this year.

Eric Parker | D | 6'2" | Calgary, Alberta | Okotoks Oilers (AJHL)
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Eric Parker signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Falcons, currently competing with the Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL. The 2019-20 campaign is Parker's third with the Oilers. Over 41 games this season, he has nine goals and 19 assists, totaling 28 points.

Prior to joining the Oilers, Parker began with the Calgary Bisons Bantam team before moving on to join the CBHA Rangers Minor Midget team. Parker's last stop before Okotoks was with the Calgary Buffaloes Midget level. In the 2019-20 season, Parker also competed with the AJHL Selects, playing in five games and registering one assist.

Brett Pfoh | F | 5'11" | Port Moody, British Columbia | Powell River Kings (BCHL)
A native of Port Moody, British Columbia, Brett Pfoh will be added to the Bowling Green commits after signing a National Letter of Intent, having competed with the Powell River Kings in the BCHL. Pfoh joined the River Kings during the 2019-20 season, playing in 23 games and scoring two goals and two assists for four points.

Prior to joining the River Kings, Pfoh spent time with the Prince George Spruce Kings and Merritt Centennials in the BCHL after beginning with the Burnaby Winter Club at the Elite 15s and Prep levels. Under now BGSU Assistant Coach Maco Balkovec, in 2018-19 Pfoh saw the ice in 34 contests, scoring 19 goals and adding 18 assists for a total of 37 points in the campaign.

Ethan Scardina | F | 6'1" | White Rock, British Columbia | Nanaimo Clippers (BCHL)
A native of White Rock, British Columbia, Ethan Scardina signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Falcons after spending the previous two seasons with the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL. Currently captaining the 2019-20 team, Scardina has totaled 37 points, being 17 goals and 20 assists, over 41 games. In the 2018-19 season, Scardina played in 54 games for the Clippers, logging 56 points on 26 goals and 30 assists.

Prior to joining the Clippers, Scardina played with Delta Hockey at the Bantam Prep, Elite 15s and the Prep levels before joining the Vernon Vipers for one game in the 2016-17 season. The next stop for Scardina was with the Cowichan Valley Capitals in 2017-18, where he played 48 games, registering 26 points. Additionally, Scardina was selected to play for the Canada West U19 team during the 2019-20 campaign.

Ben Wozney | D | 6'2" | Richmond, British Columbia | Powell River Kings (BCHL)
A native of Richmond, British Columbia, Ben Wozney is the second member of the Powell River Kings to sign a National Letter of Intent with the Orange and Brown. With the River Kings during the 2019-20 season, Wozney has appeared in 47 games, netting three goals and having 18 assists for 21 points.

Prior to playing for the River Kings, Wozney began with Seafair Bantam A1-T1 in 2014-15 before transitioning to Delta Hockey Bantam Prep level. From there, Wozney moved on to Burnaby Winter Club Elite 15s and Prep levels, playing for now Bowling Green Assistant coach Maco Balkovec at the prep level. Over two seasons with Burnaby Winter Club, and across two levels, Wozney saw the ice for 66 games, scoring eight goals while having 36 assists for a total of 44 points.

With the Waterloo Black Hawks for the 2019-20 season, Keighan Gerrie has hit the ice 29 times this season, scoring a goal and an assist. In the 2018-19 campaign, Gerrie served as an alternate captain for the Thunder Bay North Stars in the SIJHL. Over 54 games, Gerrie netted 41 goals with 61 assists for a total of 102 points during the season.

Brodie McDougall | F | 6'4" | Keswick, Ontario | Wellington Dukes (OJHL)
Over the last year, Brodie McDougall has spent time with both the Wellington Dukes and the Cobourg Cougars. Currently with the Dukes, McDougall has appeared in eight games, scoring three goals and registering three assists for six total points. Prior to joining Wellington, McDougall suited up for the Cobourg Cougars, serving as the team's alternate captain. Over 17 games this season with the Cougars, McDougall netted five goals and added five assists as well. During the 2018-19 campaign with Cobourg, he saw the ice for 49 games, scoring nine times with 19 assists.

Ryan O'Hara | F | 5'10" | Oakville, Ontario | Oakville Blades (OJHL)
Ryan O'Hara has spent the last two seasons with the Oakville Blades in the OJHL. So far in the 2019-20 campaign, O'Hara has appeared in 37 games, scoring 23 goals while adding 23 assists. As for last season, he played in 53 games, netting 20 goals with 23 assists for 43 points on the year. Additionally, O'Hara was selected as a member of the Canada East U19 team, having played five games with the squad.

Spencer Schneider | F | 5'11" | Lakeville, Minnesota | Aberdeen Wings (NAHL)
During the 2019-20 season, Schneider has split time between the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL and the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL. With the Wings, Schneider has played in 16 games, scoring four goals with nine assists. As for his time with the Centennials, Schneider saw the ice in 20 contests, scoring twice and assisting on two more goals. Schneider closed out the 2018-19 season by captaining the Lakeville North High team where he scored 16 goals and had 15 assists over 21 games.
