SETTING THE SCENE
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team returns to Mid-American Conference action and wraps up the December portion of the schedule on Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 22). Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons face Miami University, with tipoff scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at the Stroh Center.
• The Falcons concluded the non-conference slate on Saturday (Dec. 19) in Kentucky, defeating Morehead State, 76-61. Five BGSU players scored in double digits in the win, with freshman Lexi Fleming registering a game-high 18 points and junior Kadie Hempfling recording a double-double.
• Beginning with the Miami game, the Falcons have a stretch of 19-straight MAC games to conclude the 2020-21 regular-season schedule.
• After facing the RedHawks, BGSU will be idle until a trip to Muncie, Ind., to face Ball State University on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.

FLEMING'S A FANTASTIC FLEDGLING
• Freshman Lexi Fleming has gotten off to an impressive start to her BGSU career, to say the least. The Cincinnati native had a game-high 18 points in the Falcons' win at Morehead State on Saturday (Dec. 19), marking her sixth double-digit effort in as many games this season. Her feat marks the third time in as many years, but only the ninth time since 1993, that a BGSU player has scored 10 or more points in each of the first six games of the season. The complete list is in the PDF version of these notes.
FIVE-AND-ONE FALCONS
• Saturday's win at Morehead State improved the Falcons' record to 5-1 on the young season, marking the third time in the last decade that BGSU has won five of the first six games. Both the 2013-14 and '17-18 teams began the year at 5-1, and both of those clubs won game number seven to improve to 6-1 on the season.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE REDHAWKS
• Miami is 1-4 on the young season, and the RedHawks are 0-1 in MAC play entering Tuesday. Miami defeated Valparaiso by 18 points in the team's lone home game, and the losses have come to some strong competition in Notre Dame, Ohio State, Central Michigan and Evansville.
• MU's most recent game was a 66-60 setback to the Aces on Saturday (Dec. 19).
• Peyton Scott has 17.0 points per game to pace three double-digit scorers, while Katie Davidson is close behind, with 16.2 ppg. Kelly McLaughlin has 10.4 ppg and is tied with Davidson for the team rebounding lead (7.8 rpg each).
• The RedHawks are 1-0 at home and 0-4 on the road to date. Head coach DeUnna Hendrix welcomed back three starters from a 2019-20 club that finished with an overall record of 11-20 and a MAC mark of 4-14.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Miami, 52-34, in the all-time series, and BGSU captured the most recent matchup. The road team won both of last year's meetings as MU picked up a 21-point win (80-59), at the Stroh Center (Feb. 1, 2020), with the Falcons taking an 82-69 decision in Oxford (March 4, 2020), snapping a six-game MU series winning streak.
• BGSU is 24-16 in home games, 22-17 in road contests and 6-1 in neutral-site events vs. the Redskins/RedHawks over the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the MU game, the Falcons are next in action on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. On that date, BGSU will be in Muncie, Ind., to face Ball State.
