Cullen, Collin Named WCHA Players Of The Week

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced the players of the Week on Monday (Jan. 18). Of those named, Chrystopher Collin and Will Cullen received recognition from the conference. For Cullen this is his second time being named in the last three weeks while Collin is being named for the first time. Â

For Collin, he was able to net his first collegiate goal during Friday's contest (Jan. 15) against Northern Michigan that was also the game-winner for Bowling Green. While the goal was Collin's first, he had previously registered three assists on the season, tying him for the team lead among freshmen. The award is his first of the season. Â
As for Cullen, he totaled five points over the last week, claiming two goals and three assists. Cullen was able to score the last goal of both games against Northern Michigan while also assisting on both of the game-winning goals as well. The five points brings Cullen's season total to 16, making him the nation's leading scorer among defensemen. His 12 assists also lead the way for the Falcons.Â
The Falcons next series will be this coming Thursday and Friday in a non-conference series at Bemidji State. Thursday's game (Jan. 21) is set for a 6:07 pm. EST puck drop while Friday's contest (Jan. 22) will begin at 3:07 p.m. EST. The two teams just met a little over a week ago and ended in a series split.  Â
