BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bowling Green Falcons (3-1-2, 1-1-0) fell to No. 17 Bemidji State (4-4-0, 3-1-0) by a score of 2-1 on Saturday (Oct. 30). This was the first defeat of the season for the Falcons, who entered as the only remaining unbeaten team in college hockey. Christian Stoever made his collegiate debut at goaltender, recording 27 saves. The Falcons registered a season-high 41 shots.

Scoring Plays

Bemidji State found the net with less than five minutes remaining in the second period. Lukas Sillinger found the net while the Falcons were scrambling during 4-on-4 play. Owen Sillinger and Elias Rosen were credited with the assists.
The Beavers scored again with just over a minute to go in the second period. This time it was Alex Ierullo lighting the lamp, with Owen Sillinger and Elias Rosen earning the assists again.
With the goalie pulled, Austen Swankler scored the Falcons' lone goal with 36 seconds remaining.

Falcon Facts

Christian Stoever made his collegiate debut, recording 27 saves.
This was the 150^th career game played for senior forward Sam Craggs.
Swanker's goal was his seventh point of the season, the highest total on the team.
The Falcons were a perfect 4-of-4 on the penalty kill and outshot the Beavers, 41-29.
