Falcons and Bobcats Clash on Friday in Season Finale

Falcons Conclude Season with Ohio
• Bowling Green State University concludes the 2021 season on Friday when the Ohio Bobcats come to Doyt L. Perry Stadium.
• It is the 73rd meeting between the Falcons and the Bobcats in a series that started in 1945.
• It is BGSU's first "Black Friday" home game since hosting Buffalo in 2018.

Bowling Green vs. Ohio
• Bowling Green concludes Mid-American Conference action on Friday when the Falcons welcome the Bobcats to town.
• BGSU leads the all-time series with the BGSU, 40-35-2, however, OU has won the last five meetings.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 8-1 against OU when the Falcons hold the Bobcats below 300 yards of total offense.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 6-5 against OU when the Falcons accumulate 400+ yards of total offense.

• LB Brock Horne and LB Anders are the only defensive duos in the nation from the same team with each player recording 83+ tackles, 1+ sacks and 1+ interceptions.
• LB Horne is tied for No. 2 among FBS underclassmen in tackles (83) among those that made collegiate debuts in 2020 or 2021. Ohio State's Ronnie Hickman is No. 1 with 84 tackles.

Hardamon an Added Boost for Falcon Defense
• DE Demetrius Hardamon is a walk-on after transferring from NAIA Georgetown College in Kentucky.
• He made his FBS debut last season at Ohio. It was the only game for the Falcons he appeared in prior to 2021.
• With injuries on the defensive side of the ball, Hardamon has seen more time.
• Hardamon made his first career start last time out at Miami (OH).
• He had a career-high 10 tackles at Buffalo.
• He has made 19 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and three QB hurries over BGSU's last three games. He also blocked a PAT at Miami (OH).
Ferguson AND BRAND out for the Year
• Bowling Green head coach Scot Loeffler announced on Nov. 5 that CB Davon Ferguson was out for the rest of the year.
• Despite only playing 7.5 games, he is one of four players in the nation with 45+ solo tackles (45), 4+ passes defended (4), 2.0+ sacks (2.0) and 8.0+ tackles for loss (8.). He is the only player to reach these numbers in less than eight games, while two of the other three FBS players who have hit these numbers only reached the solo tackle mark over the weekend.
• Ferguson suffered an injury early in the EMU game. Through the first seven full games Ferguson was playing, BGSU yielded only 147.4 yards per game through the air. Since Ferguson went down the Falcons are yielding 274.8 yards per game through the air.
• Bryce Brand suffered a season-ending injury in the Buffalo game. Both Brand and Ferguson were starters who transfered in for 2021. Both will return in 2022.
McDonald Elevating Game
• Since throwing three interceptions in the Akron game, QB Matt McDonald has thrown for 894 yards, six touchdowns and only one interception over the past five games.
• McDonald has gone 78 passes since his last interception, which came on his first pass of the third quarter against Eatern Michigan.
• However, McDonald has been sacked 16 times over the last three games, which makes up 42.1 percent of times he has been sacked in 2021.
Anders Racking Up Tackles for Loss Games
• ILB Darren Anders has 8.5 tackles for loss through 10 games.
• Anders is tied for No. 3 in the nation in games with at least 1.0 TFL.
• Anders has a TFL in all BGSU games except the Minnesota and Toledo games.
