SETTING THE SCENE – FALCONS HOST BUFFALO ON SENIOR DAY
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team, having clinched the Mid-American Conference regular-season championship, wraps up the regular-season schedule on Saturday afternoon (March 6). Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons face the University at Buffalo in a 2:00 p.m. start at the Stroh Center.
• BGSU enters the UB contest riding a five-game winning streak, including Wednesday's (March 3) 82-65 win over Kent State. The Falcons have won 10 of 11 games since a loss to the Bulls in this season's first meeting.
• Prior to Saturday's game, the Falcons will recognize the program's four seniors in Senior Day ceremonies. That quartet includes Clare Glowniak, Mari Hill, Madisen Parker and Angela Perry.
• The Falcons, after going 10-21 overall and 3-15 in the MAC last season, were picked to finish 11th in the 12-team league in 2020-21, according to the preseason coaches' poll. The win over KSU improved BG's records to 18-4 overall and 14-3 in the MAC.

RING SZN
• The Falcons, as mentioned, are the 2020-21 Mid-American Conference regular-season champions. BGSU has won 15 MAC regular-season championships, the most of any conference school. The Falcons captured three-straight league crowns in 1987, '88 and '89 under head coach Fran Voll, and Jaci Clark's teams won back-to-back MAC regular-season titles in 1993 and '94.
• Curt Miller's teams won an unprecedented eight-straight conference regular-season titles, from 2005 through 2012. BG captured seven of those eight titles outfield (the Falcons won the East Division in 2011, but did not have the league's best overall record that season).
• Jennifer Roos guided the Falcons to a MAC regular-season trophy in 2014, and Robyn Fralick becomes the fifth different head coach to lead the program to a conference regular-season crown.
BGSU'S MAC REGULAR-SEASON TITLES
• 1987-88-89-83-84-2005-06-07-08-09-10-11*-12-14-21
* MAC East Division champion (BGSU had, or will have, the best record in the MAC in each of the other 14 seasons listed)
GO TO GLOWNIAK DOWN LOW
• Three players on the BGSU roster have made at least one field goal in every game they've played this season. The first two may not surprise you, as they are freshman Lexi Fleming and junior Kadie Hempfling, BGSU's top-two scorers on the year.
• The third? It's senior Clare Glowniak, who despite averaging under 10 minutes per game has made at least one bucket in all 17 of her appearances. Glowniak is shooting a blistering 60.6% from the field this year, having gone 40-for-66. She saw a streak of nine-straight field goals made come to an end on Wednesday vs. KSU, but scored a career-high 13 points against the Golden Flashes.
BG'S BENCH BUNCH IS BRINGIN' IT
• Three Falcon seniors – Madisen Parker (14), Clare Glowniak (13) and Angela Perry (10) – came off the bench to score in double figures in Wednesday's KSU game. Sophomore Olivia Trice scored six points as the Falcons enjoyed a 43-16 margin in bench scoring against the Flashes.
• BGSU's bench was outscored in each of the first five games of the season, but the Falcon reserves have outscored their counterparts in 14 of the last 17 games (with one tie in that category). BG's bench has not been outscored since the first Buffalo meeting on Jan. 13.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE BULLS
• Buffalo is 13-8 overall, and the Bulls are 10-6 in MAC play after Wednesday's 75-70 win over Miami.
• Dyaisha Fair leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, with 24.5 points and 6.1 boards per game. Fair is ranked among the top 20 players in the nation in nine categories, and leads the entire country in field-goal attempts. Cheyenne McEvans has 11.0 ppg.
• The Bulls are 6-2 at home and 7-6 on the road this season. In the MAC, UB is 5-2 in Western New York and 5-4 away from home. Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack welcomed back nine letterwinners, including four starters, from a 2019-20 club that finished 19-12 overall and 9-9 in the MAC.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Buffalo, 26-18, in the all-time series, but UB has won the last four meetings, including an 82-74 outcome at Alumni Arena on Jan. 13. Last season, UB captured a pair of six-point decisions, including a 62-56 victory at the Stroh Center (Feb. 22, 2020).
• BGSU is 12-7 in home games, 13-11 on the road and 1-0 at neutral sites vs. UB through the years. Much more series information can be found on page 24 of the PDF version of these notes.
