Falcons Soar Out of Muncie Meet with a MACtion Win

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Bowling Green Falcons (1-8, 1-3 MAC) picked up their first win of the season on a Sunday meet at Ball State (4-8-1, 0-3 MAC), which was contested at Worthen Arena, by a score of 193.125-191.725.
Taylor Jensen and Katrina Mendez Abolnik shared the all-around win with each gymnast tallying a 38.625. It is the third all-around win this season for Jensen and the first in the young career of Mendez Abolnik.
Bowling Green's over vault (48.225), bars (48.425) and beam (48.200) team scores topped Ball State, while the Cardinals turn on floor (48.750) was best. The Falcons 48.425 is the third-best mark this season in the event.

• Lily Harsch had the meet's best score on vault with a career-best 9.775.
• It was Harsch's second career top finish in an event.
• Harsch also notched a score of 9.750 on bars, which was BGSU's best score in the event.
• Lexi Bornhorn's 9.675 on bars was her second-best score this season.
• Mendez Abolnik competed in the all-around for just the fourth time this season and her score was her second-best.
• Tess Muir made her first appearance on beam this year when Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso was a late scratch and tallied a 9.575.
• Sarina Ross tied her PR on beam with a 9.675.
