Falcons Host Senior Day Tri-Meet With EMU and WMU on Saturday

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -Â The Bowling Green gymnastics team (1-9, 1-4 MAC) returns home to host Eastern Michigan (5-7-1, 1-2 MAC) and Western Michigan (5-7, 3-3 MAC) on Saturday afternoon. The event starts at 2 p.m., inside the famed Anderson Arena.

The meet is a MAC contest for Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan, while Western Michigan is competing in a non-conference capacity after already facing both BGSU and EMU in a conference meet this season. WMU previously won conference meets against BGSU and EMU.

At the Game: Senior Day
The Falcons' meet on Saturday will honor the seniors. It is also a Meserve Cup meet. BGSU seniors that will be honored on Saturday are Paige Bachner, Kayla Chan, Katelyn Goldstrom and Tess Muir.

Admission and Attendance Guidelines
Admission for Friday's Meet is free. The concession stand will open at 1:30 p.m.
Regardless of vaccination status, all guests, staff, and vendors will be required to wear a face covering while in the Anderson Arena. Fans are not required to show proof of vaccination to enter the Anderson Arena, but face coverings – covering the nose and mouth – are required for all fans as they watch the game from their seat and enter, exit, and move around. Children 2 and younger will not be required to wear a face covering. If spectators are unable to wear face coverings, they are encouraged not to attend meets in-person for the sake of their health and the health of others.

Eastern Michigan is 5-7-1 on the season and 1-2 in MAC competition. They are coming off a loss at Ball State. BGSU and EMU are tied in the all-time series record, 27-27. EMU has won four-straight meets against the Falcons. BGSU's last win against EMU was in 2018 at Anderson Arena.

Western Michigan is also 5-7 on the season with a 3-3 mark in MAC competition. The Broncos are coming off a last-place finish at NIU's quad meet that also included Central Michigan and Iowa State last weekend. BGSU has dropped four in a row to WMU and the all-time record against the Broncos stands 28-21-1 in favor of the Falcons. BGSU's last win against WMU was in 2019 at Anderson Arena.
