Divers Lead Falcons in Day Two of Magnus Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team completed day two of competition at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup.
The Falcons had a strong start to competition yesterday in the 3-Meter diving. Senior diver Rayah Blood scored over a 300 in the prelims with two Falcons taking the 1 and 2 spot in prelims thanks to a strong out from Natalia Mayorga. Mayorga then took home the first-place finish during finals with a score of 297.00. Blood then added a second-place finish with a 284.75.
Today's diving saw even more Falcon success. The Falcons took home three of the spots in the top final in the 1-Meter diving. The Falcons were led by Rayah Blood who won the event with a score of 267.5. Mayorga then added her second top five of the invitational with a score of 237.75 in the finals. Then rounding out the top final Grace Ellis finished sixth with a score of 234.55.
On the swimming side of things, the Falcons were led by Emily McNicol. McNicol finished fifth and swam to a time of 55.90 in the 100 Backstroke. Ava Vial also swam to a top ten time in the 400 IM. Vial finished 6th thanks to a time of 4:24.90. Robertson added the last individual top ten time for the Falcons in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:03.59 and a ninth-place finish.
