Falcon Gymnastics Heads to the Land of Lincoln for an Illinois State Tri-Meet on Friday

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green gymnastics team returns to action on Friday evening as the Falcons travel to Normal, Ill., to face the Illinois State Cardinals and the Centenary College Ladies. The meet will start at 8 p.m. at CEFCU Arena.

• Illinois State is No. 50 according to Road to Nationals, while BGSU is No. 58. Centenary College, a DIII school, is No. 67.
• Bowling Green is ranked No. 47 on bars, No. 54 on vault, and No. 58 on beam and on floor.

Centenary
• Centenary has participated in three meets so far this season, placing second in a tri-meet with SEMO and Greenville, while placing third in a quad-meet with Texas Woman's, Air Force and Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
• Last time out, Centenary topped Hamline at home (186.700-185.100).
LAST WEEK
• Central Michigan Chippewas eked out victory at the end of the final rotation as the Bowling Green Falcons fell, 194.100-193.775, last time out.
• Bowling Green took a 146.350-145.050 lead heading into the fourth rotation on the heels of four different CMU gymnasts falling off the beam. Central Michigan, who entered the week No. 25 in the nation on floor, was stellar in the final rotation with a 49.050 to seal the victory after BGSU had three gymnasts fall off the beam, or not stick a landing.

• Solorzano-Caruso also had a Bowling Green PR on floor at 9.725
• Katrina Mendez Abolnik had a PR on vault with a 9.875
