FUN FALCON FACTS
• Fenton-Bockbrader and assistant coaches Erinn Gankosky and Jacob Jeffries welcomed back 13 letterwinners from last year's club. The 2022 Falcons went 34-21 (.618) overall and 16-11 (.593) in MAC play, good for fourth place in the 11-team league.
• The Falcons played a three-game midweek series at Central Michigan. In the opening game, Hannah Davies threw three innings of scoreless, no-hit relief for the Falcons against the league-leading Chippewas, facing just two batters over the minimum. Wynnie Reid had a hit for the Falcons in that game, while Reagan Williamson drew two walks to increase her team-leading total to 18 on the season.
• Also in that game, Mackenzie Krafcik made the first plate appearance of her young collegaite career, drawing a base on balls.
• The next day, BGSU had three first-inning hits to take an early lead, with Peyton Dolejs, Williamson and Katie Hutter picking up singles. But, the Chippewas countered with two runs in the second inning and an unearned marker en route to the win.
• The second game of the day saw BGSU starter Madi Young throw a complete game. She allowed just one run and four hits through four innings, before the hosts pulled away late.
• Hutter drew a walk in addition to picking up an RBI single in the first game. In the nightcap, Madison Lenig drew walks in back-to-back plate appearances.
• Reid had a hit in each of the three games in Mount Pleasant.
• On the season, Sophie Weber leads the Falcons with a .306 batting average to date. Weber also paces the team in hits (37), doubles (10), homers (three), runs batted in (18), total bases (58), slugging percentage (.479) and on-base pct. (.373).
• Peyton Dolejs is hitting .254 on the year. She leads the Falcons with 19 runs scored, along with at-bats (126) and triples (four). She is second on the club in hits (32), extra-base hits (nine), total bases (47) and and RBI (13 - tied for second). Dolejs and Weber are the only two Falcons to have seen action in all 44 games this season.
• Reid and Marti Henkel are hitting .253 and .243, respectively.
• The Falcons had three triples in last Saturday's second game vs. Ball State, with Dolejs, Weber and Reid each picking up a three-base hit. It marked the first time in over 14 years (since April 4, 2009, vs. NIU) that BGSU had three triples in a game.
• BGSU single-game records are incomplete, but the total of three triples is believed to tie a school record. Since the start of the 1997 season, BG has had three triples in a game on four occasions. In addition to 2009 vs. NIU and Saturday vs. BSU, the other two games came less than a month apart in 1998; on March 27 vs. Marshall and April 22 (exactly 25 years prior to Saturday) against Cleveland State.
• Dolejs tripled again on Sunday, for her fourth three-base hit of the year. She is the first Falcon with four triples in a season in 13 years (since Susan Sontag also had four in the 2010 campaign). No Falcon has had more than four triples in a season since Melissa West had five in 2009.
• In the circle, Hannah Davies has thrown a team-high 99 innings this year, and also leads BG pitchers in appearances (24), starts (16), complete games (six) and strikeouts (73). Davies has a 5.94 ERA this season.
• Madi Young has an ERA of 6.27, with Sydney Stepp at 6.38. Scarlet Anderson has a team-best five wins and a 7.00 ERA. Anderson is second on the team with 18 appearances in the circle, while Stepp and Krafcik each have pitched in 16 games. Stepp has made 12 starts and Anderson nine for the Orange and Brown.

One of those four, Emily Lippe, has team-best totals of 11 homers and 27 RBI. The Flashes had 3-1 and 8-0 wins in Northeast Ohio on the regular season's final weekend in 2022, with BGSU picking up a 6-2 victory in the middle game.
