Falcon Gymnastics Heads to Kalamazoo for a Sunday Meet at Western Michigan

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green gymnastics team returns to the road for a Sunday afternoon meet against the Western Michigan Broncos. The event starts at 1 p.m. at University Arena.

• Bowling Green is ranked No. 59 in the nation per Road to Nationals. Western Michigan comes in at 33.
• Bowling Green is ranked No. 47 on vault, No. 49 on beam, No. 59 on bars and No. 69 on floor.

ALL-TIME SERIES
• BGSU has dropped six in a row to WMU and the all-time record against the Broncos stands 28-23-1 in favor of the Falcons. BGSU's last win against WMU was in 2019 at Anderson Arena.
• BGSU narrowly dropped the last meeting with WMU, 195.925-195.050, in 2023 at Anderson Areana.
• Isabella Rivelli tied the the sixth-best bars score in BGSU history with a 9.900 and BGSU's score of 195.050 was the highest in program history in a home-opening meet.
• Kathryn Weilbacher notched a career-high 9.900 on vault, which also is tied for No. 7 all-time in BGSU history.
WESTERN MICHIGAN
• Western Michigan is coming off two wins in the Next Level Gymnastics Podium Challenge tri-meet with George Washington and Illinois State. WMU posted a score of 196.125, which is its best of the season.
• WMU is 5-1 on the season with a MAC win over Eastern Michigan and placed second in a quad-meet at Illinois.

• BGSU dropped a MAC meet with Ball State on Monday evening.
• Nadia Parente placed third on beam with a career-best 9.775.
• Keira Thornton tallied a personal record on floor with a 9.800 and on bars with a 9.675.
