Falcons Fall in Non-Conference Gymnastics Meet at Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Bowling Green gymnastics team had a non-conference meet at Central Michigan on Friday night, falling to the Chippewas at McGuirk Arena, 195.625-191.475.
Love Akpan and Keira Thornton shined for BGSU as the freshmen duo posted career highs on floor. Akpan had a 9.850 and Thornton recorded a 9.875, which was good for the third-best score in the event for the meet.
Isabella Rivelli had the second-best score on bars with a 9.800, which was her fifth 9.800+ score of the season on the apparatus. Megan Bingham rounded out the top BGSU performers with a 9.775 on beam, which tied for third for the day.
