Falcons Soar High on Long Island in Complete Victory at LIU

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Bowling Green gymnastics team picked up a narrow victory on Long Island as the Falcons edged LIU, 195.925-195.875, on Sunday afternoon at the Pratt Recreation Center. The score is the best for BGSU this season and tied the ninth-best team total in program history. The Falcons also notched the score at Kent State in 2014.
BGSU entered the final rotation leading by the slimmest of margins, 146.750-146.650. The Falcons finished with their best beam score of the year, 49.175, to secure victory. All six gymnasts on beam scored a 9.800 or better, including three personal record scores.
Kathryn Weilbacher led BGSU, winning the all-around with a PR score of 39.500. Her all-around score is the third-best score in program history and the third-best mark in the MAC this year. Weilbacher also tied for the meet's best scores on vault (9.850) and floor (9.925).
