- The Blue Raiders gave their answer in the bottom of the third, scoring one to cut into the lead 2-1 through three played.
- In the fourth, Krause extended a strong start at the plate with a two-out single, but couldn't advance in the inning.
- In the sixth, Landon Willeman came on in relief, ending Good's day after five innings on the mound. Willeman struck out his first batter of the season before two ground outs for a one-two-three inning of work.
- In the top of the seventh, Krause found the base paths again with his third hit in as many trips to the plate, leading off with a single. After an out, Leighton Banjoff pinch hit and knocked a single to put two on for the Falcons with one out.
- A fielder's choice by Takats followed to put runners at the corners for the Falcons with two outs. Takats stole second before DJ Newman put a ball in play and an error allowed Krause to score, extending the BGSU lead to 3-1 with the first non-home run tally of the season for Bowling Green.
- Newman continued the speed on the base paths, stealing second. Seidel drew a walk to load the bases for the Orange and Brown, but a fielder's choice got MTSU out of the inning with just one run allowed.
